Did you know that you can train your self to consciously control your dreams?

Lucid dreaming can feel just as real as physical life, and with a little practice you can start creating your dreams the way you want them and experience profound, mind-blowing experiences. Having the ability to fly, or to travel in time and space, travel to other worlds and dimensions, meeting your higher self, connecting with your spirit family, spirit animal and much more. Some people have even reported communicating with whales of light, angels, light orbs, extraterrestrials and more.

Is this just our imagination or does our soul actually travel to other worlds when our physical body is sleeping?

Lucid dreaming is when a person in a dream becomes aware that they are dreaming, and are consciously awake  and the physical body asleep. From this realization they can begin to consciously create their own dreamscape and circumstances with a little practice and training. It is a powerful mental ability that everyone can accessPersonally, I look at it as a type of meditation. There are a lot of things you can do to successfully have a lucid dream. As you continue to read, you will learn some powerful keys on how to lucid dream.

Lucid means clear. Clear dreaming. The good news is that everyone can learn it! For me lucid dreaming isn’t so much about controlling the dream, but rather just consciously observe my dreams and to learn from them and in a way get to know my subconscious mind better. The dreamscape and our waking ego are interconnected, enabling us to use our dreams for profound personal & spiritual growth and insights.

”Dreaming is an act of pure imagination, attesting in all men a creative power, which if it were available in waking, would make every man a Dante or Shakespeare.”

Is lucid dreaming a bridge between realities?

In a lucid dream you might meet some people you’ve felt like you’ve known all your life and feel pure love for them, and when waking up in your physical body you might not remember ever meeting those people in your physical life on earth. You can get quite emotional in some lucid dreams and it can be a very spiritual experience for some. Can it be that these people or energies we are meeting are spirits from our soul family? I advice you to try this for yourself for a profound and very spiritual experience.

10 Keys on how to successfully create a lucid dream.

1) Dream Diaries

Spending at least 10 minutes in putting down and recording your dreams in the morning. Even if you wake up in the middle of the night, try to remember and write down what happened. This trains your brain to become used to retaining memories while you are dreaming and to bring awareness into the dream state.

2) Reality Checks

Performing as many as 10 or more reality checks during the day, and these should be spaced out during the day. Does your reflection look normal in the mirror? Do the palms of your hands look normal close-up? How long do you stay in the air when you jump? Perhaps even make a marking on your hand and look at it throughout the day, and in your dream you will notice it missing. When you notice it is no longer there, you will realize you are dreaming.

3) Manifest

Spending up to 20 minutes in the afternoon to incubate a lucid dream. The techniques to use here include meditation, self-hypnosis, and visualization of what you wish to experience in your dream. This is also helpful to do right before bed. KNOW that you will lucid dream, and be thankful that you have already manifest a lucid dream.

4) Affirmation

Before you go to bed at night, repeat this to yourself: “I will remember to recognize that I’m dreaming”. Fall asleep repeating this in your head, and this awareness will subconsciously carry into your dreams. Know that in your dream, you will remember that you are dreaming. Remove all doubt. Affirmation is important.

5) Identifying Your Dream Signs

You may also have that nasty experience of always running out of fuel whenever you are on your way to write a final exam. Again, it may be that you always have that horrible experience of your teeth falling off from your mouth. The best and most reliable way of determining your personal dream signs is by keeping a dream journal. Whenever you check it, you can easily identify those dream signs that are regularly occurring. When your future dreams contain them, you will realize it’s just a dream sign.

6) Imagination Of Desired Dream

Imagine yourself being back to a previous dream. But this time, you have to re-live the ending differently. Visualize the scene in the dream in such a way that the details are clearer than what is obtainable in the previous dream. Next, search for the dream signs. Of course, this should be some unusual characters, locations and objects which should reveal the dream to be mere fantasy; something you wouldn’t see in real life.

Next, start telling yourself that you are dreaming. Although you are just day dreaming (and this is by no means a lucid dream) continue to experience an imagined lucid dream fantasy. Do whatever you would do if this were a real lucid dream.

7) Wake Up At Night

Research has shown that waking up during sleep can increase one’s chance of being lucid. So, in order to have more lucid dreams, you may want to wake yourself up in the night and bring yourself to full consciousness for a few minutes. You can spend those few minutes in reading about lucid dreams, meditating, visualizing, etc. Maybe even set an alarm for 3 or 4 am.

8) Direct Your Half-Asleep State

At times, you may wake up in the middle of the night and found yourself in this dreamy state. If this occurs, there is no need for you panic for your body and mind are already relaxed. Just drift into the dream world and of course, this can easily be accomplished without the least effort.

9) Snap Out Of The Dream. Fully Step Into Lucidity.

his step involves stepping into the lucid world and this means submerging your awareness fully into the lucid dream as well as stabilizing the dream to eradicate any chance of waking up. Stay calm, don’t get over excited and wake yourself up. Realize that you are dreaming, and keep your attention concentrated in the present moment within your lucid dream.

10) Have fun

It’s a wonderful experience to have, and there is nothing anyone or anything can do in a lucid dream to harm you. If you find yourself scared when you become lucid, know that you are always being guided and protected, and that you can wake yourself up at any time you wish. Talk with people, manipulate your surroundings, try to leave your body, appreciate the vividness of the world around you.

It’s important to remember that there is nothing to fear in a lucid dream. Some figures you encounter may scare you, but remember that everything you encounter is a reflection of some aspect of yourself. Love them and forgive them, and know that when you do so you are loving and forgiving a shadow aspect of you.

Lucid dreaming is not just for fun however. It can also be used as a spiritual practice for self-healing and personal growth.”

The first lucid dreams were recorded by Ancient Egyptians.

The Egyptians were an advanced civilization which coalesced more than 5,000 years ago. According to Jeremy Naydler, author of Temple of the Cosmos, they believed in three bodies: Shat (the corpse body), Ka (the living physical body) and Ba (the soul).

Ba was often represented in hieroglyphics as a human-headedshutterstock_11200198 bird floating above the sleeping body or corpse. Naydler notes:

“…the Ba is the person but in another form.
The Ba could be defined as an individual in an out-of-body state.”

Was the Ba actually the lucid dreaming self? Robert Waggoner, author of Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self, believes so:

“I was struck by the concept of the Ba being the part of one that flies during sleep, trance and after-death states… Many of us have had that experience, whether we call it an OOBE or a lucid dream, of flying around our sleeping body.”

“For lucid dreamers, trance journeyers and OOBE-ers, the Ba may represent in a historic sense, the first depiction of a ‘mobile awareness’ separated from the physical host. Interestingly, this mobile awareness, this Ba, seems naturally connected to flying – a common and seemingly universal part of lucid dreaming.”

My own experiences with lucid dreaming

In some of the lucid dreams I’ve had  I could go back and forth from my physical body to my dream body by just focusing upon the body I wanted to go to. When I in a sense move my energy over to my dream body and suddenly appear in a dream, I can no longer feel my physical body. It feels like I’m in another world. One time I went back and forth between my physical body and dreambody 6-7 times in the same night.

The most spiritual experience I’ve had
with lucid dreaming was when I met a good friend of mine who a few years ago passed away in a traffic accident… In my ”dream” I met him in a  windy and snowy place out in nature,  It was somewhere I did not recognize. There was a lot of trees, rocks and mountain. I felt calm and relaxed and I was aware that I was dreaming. I could recognized my friends energy somehow and It felt as if it was really him… Felt good. For some reason he was running in the forest very very fast… Almost like supernatural fast. I was following him running about just as fast a little behind him. I remember the feeling of running extraordinary fast in the snow, jumping on the rocks and just going really fast. My friend eventually led me to a huge cave… Suddenly we where inside… The cave was big, bright and beautiful and there was a huge running water there and beside the water  was a little fire and 3 women was sitting around it. They had coloured light in their eyes. Green, yellow and blue. It was like  a circle of coloured light in their eyes. To me, in that moment I had a feeling I describe as a spiritual vibe… I remember the feeling of knowing their energy. I felt I had known them for a long time and I felt pure love towards them and somehow felt love from them towards me in an unexplainable way.

Suddenly out of the blue my friend went into a light through the stone wall and kind of thelapatically communicated that he loved me and goodbye for now. I remember it being very emotional for me but at the same time I felt relief kind of knowing that he is still here with me.
The 3 women also communicated to me without really speaking. They said that I should go into the running water in the cave. I then went into the water and I felt a feeling that I can only describe as a mixture of sadness and intense love at the same time. I screamed with all my heart, and when I did, orange lightning came up from the water everywhere and went straight through my body… I started to float in the air and the orange lightning bursted out through my eyes and mouth, and then my whole body. In what felt like a second I flew at the ”speed of light” back to my physical body into my bedroom and I kind of flew right in into my physical bodies face and awoke instantly… After that lucid dream something happened to me.

This lucid dream changed my vibrations and gave me something powerful I can not describe.
