Me and my son Adrian were eating breakfast together sunday morning while his mum was still sleeping. The sun shining slightly through the blind of our kitchen window. The birds outside singing their favourite tunes. We started to talk about gratitude. Now, I have to share with you that I have always talked to Adrian using “grown up” words. Children are much smarter than we think, so I have always had the belief that he understands everything that I am talking about (especially at a subconscious level), and he does.
I said, “Adrian, when you are grateful for the small things and the big things in life, the Universe listens to you and starts sending you even more things to be grateful for.” The second I mentioned the word “Universe” he got this mesmerised look in his eyes. He has always been really fascinated with the Universe…Which in turn is really fascinating for me too; to observe that curiosity. I continued, “When you say thank you to another person, it´s not about being polite, but say it because you really mean it. Say thank you with your heart. Then people will know that you really mean it.” Adrian looked at me and said with the most charming voice you could ever imagine, “Thank you daddy”.
Being sincerely grateful is the strongest emotion you can feel next freedom and love. The energetic vibration of this emotion connects you with creation of the life you want to live. You become a powerful magnet to attract more things to be grateful for. As for the universal law of attraction – an attitude of gratitude is a key factor for attracting positive people and circumstances your way. Everything is energy. Where focus goes, energy flows.
Gratitude has a magical power. It´s so sad that most people take gratitude for granted, and never get to experience the magic.
